CD05-05: Incheon, Song for Making Ropes

◆ This is the end part of a series of 'Judae-sori' which is sung while twisting various ropes which were to be used for fishing. 'Judae-sori' is divided according to each stage of work. The ropes are made with the skins of the arrowroot that have been picked in the Summer and dried. First, the skins are rubbed together and twisted into a thin rope, then placed on a frame made of wood and twisted into a thick rope. This song is sung when twisting the rope has nearly been finished and when making the rope is almost done. The harmony between the lead and following singers is exquisite. There are no meaning to the lyrics.
